Yeah, more abortions

Straight out of Mexico City, it’s the damnation show, with your hosts, all of those people who voted to legalize abortion! I know, it’s not something that deals directly with the USA, and I do try to keep my focus on my most blessed and highly favored nation, but it’s something which I feel is important enough to warrant attention and action from all of the Christians around the world.
This legislation is threatening to make abortion laws in Mexico very similar to those in the US, which of course is a problem. We haven’t even gotten a handle on this kind of thing in God’s Country, and here it is spreading. See, this is why it’s so important for Christians to stand up and take control of their nations, especially the United States. Whatever is done in the world’s foremost superpower is bound to be emulated by a lot of other countries in due time, right? It only makes sense that those nations which want prosperity should mimic those nations which enjoy it. The problem is that Mexico, in a moment of utter stupidity, forgot that it was Dad who made The United States of America great and not lax moral laws.
From the article:
The Roman Catholic church has protested the measure and Mexico City Cardinal Norberto Rivera led a march through the capital last month in opposition. The Archdiocese said Tuesday that it would evaluate the moral consequences of the reforms and said Rivera would have no public comment on the vote until Sunday.
The protests over this mess are pretty big, but there’s an obvious lack of US citizens in the crowd. You all need to remember something here - you’re all supposed to be dirt poor and walking barefoot through the nation helping people. The only reason at all that you can get a repreive and be allowed to make money is if you spend literally all of that money doing really great things with it. So basically any Christian right now who has the financial means to be in Mexico City protesting who isn’t could easily find themselves on the hot end of a Hell stick when they kick the bucket.
In a way the blame for this goes to the Christians in the USA. If you’d all taken a stand way back when and ensured that Roe v. Wade would have been decided on the basis of faith and not secular silliness we might not even be here right now. Here we are with a colossal opportunity for you to stop the spread of your mistake, and nothing is being done. Let’s just be facetious and call that Strike Two. Anyone care to comment on what they think Strike Three will look like?
More from the article:
An estimated 200,000 women have illegal abortions each year in Mexico, based on the number who show up at hospitals later seeking treatment for complications, said Martha Micher, director of the Mexico City governments Womens Institute.
Botched abortions using herbal remedies, black-market medications and quasi-medical procedures kill about 1,500 women each year and are the third-leading cause of death for pregnant women in the capital, Micher said.
This is the single most prominent argument offered by proponents of murdering babies, that women will do it anyway and will be more likely to be harmed as a result of back-alley procedures. Of course we all realize this, but we also all recognize that death and disease from such a horrible act are often times the work of God. We’ve talked about the fact that breast cancer can certainly be caused by abortion here already, so why is it so hard to believe that these 1,500 women a year die because God is angry with them?
Christians around the world should be up in arms about this. Legalizing abortion in one of the most heavily populated Catholic areas of the world is a really ugly sign that things are turning sour. Of course it’s certainly no worse than the fact that it’s also legal in my own home country of the United States, but it’s still critically important. It’s not too late to do something about it either, considering the protests are still very much in full tilt. So let’s all get down to Mexico City, Christians of the world, and stop this right now, while we still can. Were I there I’d be the guy with the long, brown hair in the grey serape with pants that said “Jesus” on the pocket. You’d be able to look me up on the front line of the protests, and I’d save you a spot and a couple of heads of throwing cabbage. Were I there we’d overturn this abortion mess in Mexico, then rally back home to do the same in D.C. Were I there you’d all see what Jesus would do.
