I want to speak out today on a very important topic - freedom of information. Your world is an increasingly more complex place, with dangers you’ve not even considered literally right around the corner, and yet you continue to bicker and whine and complain about who owns what bunch of zeros and ones or who thought of clicking on a checkout button first. In a time when you should all be sharing information openly there is instead the closing of data and the tightening of ownership of information. It’s appalling.
These few digits have created an uproar. They represent the locking of information, the ownership of creative freedoms, and artificial limitations placed on otherwise reasonable people. The information rebounds, flutters, and is eliminated again, a sign of the ongoing struggle for freedom in discourse and in information. These numbers and letters, a hexadecimal nightmare for those who would keep such things secret, represent a chasm between reality and the media companies in America.
So tonight, by proclamation, Heaven is issuing a mandatory curfew and temporarily raising the Damnation Level to account for the idiocy being perpetrated by those who would close and stifle innovation and freedom. It is a sin to intentionally hold your fellow man back. It is a sin to privatize information which might further the position of your species. It is, in a word, a sin to eliminate such information from the Internet
Jesus has spoken. Let the damnation begin.
